We had a wonderful Wednesday!

Today we:

• Had outdoor play
• Had free play
• Had journals-we wrote about our Easter weekend
• Had gym
• Had Grade 8 inquiry buddies
• Had a Dental presentation and learned a lot about caring for our teeth!

We are hoping on having the calendar and newsletter ready to go home tomorrow for all families!

Please note: we are back into the reading rainbow program and hug-a-books will begin again next week after our hiatus!

Hello everyone,

We hope you all enjoyed your Easter weekend, and managed to stay warm and safe with the big ice storm to kick things off!

Today we had:

•  outdoor play
•  math with Mrs. Robbins
•  number sense small group math
•  free play
•  health (fire safety)
•  library
•  reading rainbow

We will be sending out our calendar and newsletter this week for April- time is flying! Bring on the spring weather!

In April we will be doing some superhero and "real life superhero" inquiries as we have noticed many of the students in our class love superheroes! If any of you work in a field where you might be considered a "real life superhero" (examples: nurse, firefighter, doctor, dentist, paramedic, police officer, etc.) and would be willing to come in to do a brief presentation to our class, please let us know. We will also be inquiring about how we can help the Earth, and environmental awareness to tie into Earth Day which is April 22nd.

Yesterday we had a terrific Tuesday!

We:

• Had outdoor play
• Had language centres
• Sang our "d" songs...we also learned that the "d" does the talking, the "b" does the walking
• Had math with Mrs. Robbins (measurement)
• Had Free Play
• Had reading buddies- read and did an Easter art activity

We did not do reading rainbow or hug-a-book this week, we hope to do both starting again next week.

Welcome back from March Break!

We had a fantastic Friday today!

Thank you to everyone for bringing in materials for our leprechaun traps! The students had so much fun and were very creative with their designs!

Today we:

• Had outdoor play
• Had math with Mrs. Robbins
• Built our leprechaun traps
• Read a story together
• Sang a leprechaun song
• Found some leprechaun rocks
• Had library
