Hello Everyone,
After a brief hiatus from updating the blog, we're back up and running!
We had a very busy week last week with several Earth week activities and have had a busy week planning our superhero city etc. so far this week!
Two important pieces of information have gone home in the mailbags regarding some upcoming events:
1. "Supporting Mental Health" is an evening event on May 3rd from 6-8 p.m for parents funded by the Ministry of Education happening at our school with guest speakers, refreshments, childcare, and prizes! More information is available here:
"Supporting Mental Health" Night
2. Heart and Stroke Jump Rope for Heart pledge forms went out today. We had our assembly today, and this year the Kindergartens are invited to participate also! We are all very excited for this, and are learning different ways to keep our hearts healthy!
Pledges are due back at the school May 20th.
We have been learning how to "make 10" in our math classes, and are making 3D shapes, and doing some different measurement activities with Mrs. Robbins in Math also. We are enjoying some new literacy centers, and wrapping up volcanoes with Mr. I in Science. We love to sing! We learned a song about helping our Earth and being environmentally friendly.
Here are some pictures of the recent learning happening around our classroom:
